This necklace stack is a part of Lucky Olive’s prosperity pineapple collection. The pineapples are made from combining two metallic glitter clays with one vivid yellow clay, creating a vibrant pattern that invokes an image of the Brazilian national flag. Did you know that the green colour is a symbol of the flora and fauna of Brazil, the yellow represents gold, and the blue globe and stars symbolize the night sky filled with stars and constellations? Beautiful. We named this jewelry piece after its old capital. The most wonderful part about this necklace stack -- you can wear both, or only one, or mix one of the two with other necklaces in your jewelry collection! Amazing.
The birthplace of the pineapple is believed to be the Amazon rainforest in South America, where its indigenous people assigned the fruit a sacred status in their society. It was used to make medicine and complete rituals. To them, the pineapple was an important symbol of fertility and prosperity. Many centuries later, European explorers would transport pineapples from the new world back to Europe, where it became a sought after status symbol and delicacy whose possession signified wealth and prosperity.
Also, the word for "pineapple" in Chinese culture sounds similar to the phrase "luck coming your way." This linguistic quirk has prompted the custom of giving pineapples as gifts during their new year.
As an Earth element stone, green jade is thought to nourish the body with Earth's loving energies. It is revered for symbolizing well-being, longevity, growth and renewal. We intentionally used 8 green jade beads. In Pythagorean numerology, the number 8 represents victory, prosperity and overcoming. Eight (八, hachi, ya) is also considered a lucky number in Japan, but the reason is different from that in Chinese culture. Eight gives an idea of growing prosperous, because the letter (八) broadens gradually.
Golden hematite is believed to enhance emotional balance and inner peace, shield against negative energies, and soothe feelings of stress and anxiety. On your neck, your wrist, your ears, or your ankles, pieces containing hematite guarantees to act as a reliable companion through good times and bad, perpetually a fierce ray of confidence.
